JV & Varsity Locker Room Game Day prep includes:
Parents/guardians meet at 7:00 pm in the locker room the night before a game to assemble the snack bags and decorate the lockers.
After ALL Varsity games, in the AVHS Cafeteria
Parents feed all Varsity/JV players after all Varsity games - local restaurants provide a main course and parents donate sides, desserts, and beverages and serve the players. Parents clean up after each meal. A 9th grade parent is needed to pick up dinner from a local restaurant and deliver it to the school before the end of game.
9th and 10th grade parents are asked to volunteer at the concession stand in order to allow upperclassmen parents to watch their child play. The expectation is that 9th grade player families will volunteer for at least 2 shifts during the season.
There are two shifts to choose from (1) First shift: Set up, first half of the game, and halftime (2) Second shift: arrive when game clock shows 5 minutes until halftime, second half of game, and clean up.
